HealthSouth is also known for using some of the most advanced rehabilitation technology for both brain and spinal cord injury patients.
While the HealthSouth facility in Birmingham is the home of the company’s headquarters, there are several facilities located throughout the region that specialize in certain types of injuries. In addition to Montgomery, there are brain injury facilities in Montgomery, Phenix City, Dothan, Gadsden and Huntsville. Spinal cord injuries can be treated in Dothan, Gadsden, and Huntsville. Some, but not all of the HealthSouth facilities are accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). You can find out if the ones you are considering are accredited by asking the hospital administrator.
